Estate Sale Finds

I just did not want to sit at home on my birthday so Lulu and I hopped in the car and headed for town. Then we spotted the sign. Estate Sale. It was one of the best estate sales I have been to in a while. It seemed a little sad though going through someones home and barn. We both felt like intruders but it was obvious the decisions were made to sell it all. If I would have had a pickup truck with me I would have really brought home some stuff. I have always wanted a whirligig and now I have one!
I think I gave$2 for this.
This old Country Gentlemens magazine is awesome.
It is full of advertisements. It is dated April 1951. I love the cover picture!

I probably gave a little too much for this concrete red bird
but I liked it and it was my birthday after all.

Now I grabbed this up for only $2. It is all metal.
I am sure I will think of something to do with it.

Today's project was painting my white metal lawn chairs. Here is a before and after view.
My hubby bought me a real nice Panasonic Palmcorder for my birthday and oldest son bought Season 2 of MONK for me. I started watching MONK shows at a friends house and got hooked. I have Season 1 ordered. My youngest son bought the sweetest lamp and said he had some pillows for me. I will post the lamp when I get things straightened up and get a good picture. Of course, my oldest daughter spent an arm and a leg on my surprise party plus gave me a sweet, sweet card. Lulu helped with the party. My little Chantry even gave his Gammie a card and signed it. I had a wonderful 50th birthday.
