It's been awhile. So, so much has happened since I last posted. Actually, a lot has happened since the year 2019. Little Tiger was born the 29th of October 2019. Allison asked me to take the stupid flu shot because she was afraid I might get the flu and would not be able to help with Tiger. So I did. I had not taken it in years! Anyway, at the end of 2019 there had been rumors of a horrible flu going around that could be very dangerous. On into January of 2020 the rumors continued of this mysterious virus that might prove to turn into a pandemic. It all seemed a bit staged at this point. By March the rumors continued and a preacher that I had known for decades Merle Dry went into the hospital and within about 3 days he passed away. He was the first in Oklahoma to contract the corona virus COVID 19 and pass away. The panic began in Oklahoma but had already began mostly in the east coast. Fear ran rampant and soon many were getting sick, hospitalized and dying. The news spread like wild fire and soon it moved worldwide. The world was in a full blown "pandemic". By the middle of Spring 2020 we went into a full lock-down! There were no planes flying above, everyone was to stay at home and if you went out or around anyone you should wear a mask. I had even began making cloth masks for our daughter who is an RN for her nurse friends. Those Soon everyone that knew how to sew made masks. Churches closed their doors or held parking lot services where you sat in your car and listened to worship songs and preaching from an outdoor platform. Another option was to watch online.
Hubby and I stayed home. Neighbors would pick up things for us if they had to get out anyway. Later Ken would just go to the store and pick things and we would take the items out of the bags spray them with Lysol and wipe them down on the porch before we brought them in. Like thousands upon millions of people did NOT know what we were dealing with. The news reported constantly of deaths from this "virus" Dr. Tony Fauci and Deborah Burke would White House statements of what everyone should do to keep from contracting the virus..and promised if we did what they said it would end in two weeks. Soon they announced a vaccine for this deadly "virus". Meanwhile, you could be tested if you felt ill or if you needed to enter a building of business. You had to be wearing a mask and the test was a long swab inserted up your nose as if to touch your brain then tested to see if you were positive for the virus. If positive you would need to be quarantined for 10 days to 2 weeks. People lost their jobs. People could not be around family members, at all. Old people in nursing homes were not allowed to see anyone in their family. No hugs were allowed. People were scared out of their minds.
It seemed a bit "fishy" but the fear of it was so high you did not want to take too many chances. We finally got tired of all of it. There were too many things that was not making sense. There were too many lies being told.
Well, soon the vaccine surfaced and people were ecstatic for the "cure". People were lining up to get the shot. "Just get this shot", they said "and it will keep you from getting the virus." "It will keep you from getting sick". "It will keep you from dying"..."get the second shot, you will need it, too". "Oh, don't forget to get the third booster. You will need or none of the other shots will work".
It went on and on.
