My pumpkin patch should be named Pityful Pumpkin Patch this year. I planted too early for one thing and also had a problem fighting grass and squashbugs. Anyway, I managed to grow one nice pie pumpkin. Hopefully, next year I will do better in the pumpkin business. Live and Learn.
I found this cute little sign at the Dollar Tree so I bought it and hung it near my "Pumpkin Patch".

Here she is! Pretty, huh?
I cut the pumpkin in half. Scrape the seeds and membrane out (membrane is such a gross sounding word to me). Then I baked the pumpkin for about an hour. Next I scraped all the good meat out of the pumpkin. Hence, the picture above. I pureed this in my food processor and followed the recipe for Pumpkin Pie and Pumpkin Bread.
