There is nothing better during the Christmas season than a good ol' church Christmas play. You know, the kind where the dear sisters in the church made all those angel robes out of old white sheets and the coat hanger tinsel halos. Where the boys wore their dads plaid bathrobes and had fake wool beards. And then they all gather on stage bumping in to each other and stare out into the crowd with fear in their eyes. There will always be one that sings Away in a Manger louder than the others. You might even have one small child that can no longer deal with the stage fright and leaps off the platform and into the crowd in search of mommy. No matter what happens during the play in the end we all feel good about the original Christmas story of Jesus birth.

Your grandchildren are precious. Wish I had been at the play. I love children playing the parts in the Christmas story. You never know what will happen.
