Anticipating Spring

The Bunderosa sure looks dead this time of year. It seems like everything is the same color. Beige. Beige beige beige...blah. I go outside and my eyes start getting all swirly...like in the cartoons when the characters get bonked on the head and their eyes get swirly. You know.

Looking forward to this...

and this...
and this.

Now, about my chicken herd
I have one lone little bantam hen left.
The rooster and little hen were afraid to go in the chicken coop so they started roosting in the blackberry briars. Rooster roosted to high on the briars one night and I think an owl carried him off for his midnight snack!

Goodbye, my fine feathered friend!

On a lighter note (probably not for my future chickens coming out to "doom"farm).
I will be getting 26 chicks Monday! Pearl White Leghorns!

I hope my rooster is this handsome. I am loving that red comb!
