I recently went through reading my blog from the beginning and noticed that I had deleted some posts. I don't really remember why I deleted them but I do know I can't change any of that. I have decided to blog again. I have become very weary of Facebook. Many of my fb "friends never comment, I never hear from any of my Pollard family (I did recently get a snarky remark on a post from one and decided to take a break from her.) Anyway, lots of reasons too numerous to mention so here I am.
This year has been different, to put it mildly. The Covid19 virus is a real thing but has been used to control our world. I do not know who is behind all of it but I do believe this is a BIG deal. I do not believe it will end but will get worse. I realize there is nothing I can do but try to draw closer to God and be as prepared as I can. When I say I that also includes my hubby and our kiddos. Moving on...
So, while being cooped up in our home I put my camera to work and grabbed all the beauty I could to make my life more pleasant.
January
I created a Santo's cage doll in January. It was fun to make.
Here is my gift from my wonderful friend Lou Ratliff. My artful friend that lives in Ohio with the love of her life. We became friends through Facebook. She makes me smile. The best little thing that happened to our family in 2019. Our Tiger Lily.
President Trumps State of the Union address was incredible. Who knew what awaited us.
FebruaryWe got a beautiful snow in February.
I didn't take a lot of pictures in February.
We were all very sick that month.

July and August
One of my favorite things about summer is growing
zinnias and watching the butterflies flit about on
them.
With zinnias you get a wide variety of colors and
shapes. I love every single one of them.
How sweet is this American Goldfinch?
Funny little butterfly
I can never get enough of these.
We were so excited this summer to spot this Painted Bunting!
The most beautiful bird. We also had a Baltimore Oriole come
through but didn't get a good photo.
AND this summer we painted the house white! We love it!
September and OctoberI know it is not a traditional barn design but I still love taking
photos of it. These were taken in the summer of 2020.
Also this summer Ken turned the storage building into a chicken
house and built a nice fence around it. Now we can keep an eye on them.
We were losing our chickens to the hawks. So far, so good!

Ken always makes a beautiful garden. It has to have a scarecrow, Right?

My Abraham Darby roses are a little rusty around the edges but still
very pretty. Hoping to get more roses in 2021.
Mr Robert Redbird enjoying the sunflower seeds. The fall colors have arrived. I planted a couple of red maples two years
ago and they are finally showing off. I love them!
Getting its color on!We are so happy with our white house. Here is the original
front porch. Ken has worked so hard all summer on this.
We grew a few pumpkins this year. I love growing our own. And I saved seed to grow more
varieties in 2021.
My marigolds did great this year too!
November
A view of the chicken coop in the fall.
Our Rhode Island Reds
Still some painting to do on the big porch. Hoping
to paint it all white.

The leaves are falling. They do that.
One of our jack o lantern pumpkins.
We took a short trip to the Buffalo River.
Where Kens heart is.
December
We took a day trip in December to the Tall Grass Prairienear Pawhuska. Here are some photos. It was a fun day!
One of favorite photos of the day.
