Hubby and I worked so hard to have a large bountiful garden this year! We had visions of tomatoes, beans, CORN, and sugarplums dancing in our heads for months! Then the Spring rains came. And it poured. And poured. And poured. Finally one day the rains stopped and we commenced to plant. We planted and planted and planted. Potatoes, green beans, tomatoes, squashes, peppers, and CORN. Well the CORN never came up. So we planted it again. Again no CORN.
Then we realized we had a problem...with CROWS. So we planted CORN again and this time I placed Mr. Scarecrow in the garden. Our CORN began to grow. "Yes! We will have fresh CORN!" we shouted. Then a storm blew in knocked the Mr.Scarecrow to the ground. "Awe Haw!", said the crows. "The scarecrow man is dead! We will again eat CORN!" and they swooped down and pulled our little CORN plants out of the ground and ate the CORN.

Sorry to hear that your corn just could not get there chance to grow. Sounds like the two of you worked so hard.
I found your blog through Shabby Addict.
