Here we are at the end of September, folks. I am somewhat regretful that I missed the annual family reunion. My daughter got the great idea of going camping on the Buffalo river in Arkansas this past weekend. Of course, there is NOTHING better to my husband than a trip to his old stompin' grounds so the plans were set! Well when it came time to pack and go daughter and her family backed out, plus Lulu and Ernie so hubby and I were the only ones who went. We took in a high school football game (again, another stompin' ground of hubby's) Friday night then camped out on the river bank in a tent. Next morning made one of those great outdoor camping breakfast's on the trusty Coleman stove and took in a little fishin'. Hubby caught a nice brown bass. Of course he can't really fish unless he gets right in the water with 'em. The water was pretty cold and he about froze to death. It was quite chilly Saturday night even with two good blankets but we survived! We had a pretty good time, all in all.

I am so excited about fall!!! I wish I could load the back of the pickup with pumpkins of every kind but they are so pricey! I was a disappointed to say the least about my poor pumpkin patch but I am determined that next year will be better!
