Did you take these photos? If so, they are simply amazing! Wish I could take pics half as good as these!
And congrats on 300 posts!
Oh my, my, my, I want to come and sit a spell with you. Iced tea is a must of course. We really should get together someday. We can't be that far apart.~~Dee
Congratulations on 300 posts. Your photos are wonderful. I'm with you...I love the sunflowers. As a fellow Okie....I love reading your blog.
Thank you for posting on my blog and I'll answer your question in a minute! I'm still catching my breath after reading your WHOLE ENTIRE BLOG!! Where have you been all of my (blogging) life??? I can't believe I have missed out on all your photos, musings, etc...I am connecting you to my blog list right this very second.
Now, will I be in Tulsa?? I don't know. As a new author before they will send me on book signings I have to submit a list of at least 30 people that I know might come and buy a book/bring a friend. Authors, unfortunately sometimes have a reputation as 'I've written this absolutely, fabulous, master-piece-soon-to-be-bestseller, now everyone please flock to the store and buy it" and that is NOT how it works. Writing the book works your brain out and gets the creative juices flowing but the work it takes afterward is something else. Your publicist can only do so much and really it's pretty much left up to how much work the author wants to do. Honestly, this part is my favorite. I love meeting people, travelling, and answering questions about the story. All this rambling for one question, huh? The answer is I'd LOVE to come to Tulsa, but I need to see if I would have a decent turnout? Do you have friends that would be interested? Your church? I'll get back to you on that and I'll try to make a trip. El Dorado Springs MO - my childhood home - is only about 2 and 1/2 hours from Tulsa, so it wouldn't be that hard.
Maybe you could show me your favorite thrift stores afterward???
Kelly, for your roses, if you want to go organic, I use sulphur. In fact, mine also have spider mite so I'm using a 3 in 1 Ortho organic spray with pyrethrin and sulphur. HTH.~~Dee
To my blogger friends, thanks for all the nice comments! I wish you all were my close neighbors and ya'll could come to my house in the mornings. We could sit on my porch and have coffee together and talk the day away!
It was so nice to have Kathie Truitt peeking in. You all MUST go to her blog. She is a hoot! And she has her first book... FALSE VICTIM ! Let's get her in Oklahoma for a book signing!
Dee, my poor roses are almost naked. I sprayed them with some Garden Safe brand FUNGICIDE 3. it says for organic gardening. I am going to clean around them tomorrow and try to find some sulfur and pyrethrin. Thanks for your help.
1950's Atomic Ranch House...yes, I took all the pictures on my blog with the exception of a few of my grandboys that I swiped from my daughter.
kclily...I'm glad you enjoy reading my blog. I enjoy yours too!
Where's my friend Denise @ Bella Dreams?
