No more chemo and Route 66 weekend

The plan was to meet at Chandler and go to a craft show at the Route 66 Interpretive Center. It sounded like a great thing to do. Trouble is when we got there, there were only about 5 vendors. It was quite sad really. Not to worry though. We found some great antique stores and ate at a little downtown cafe.
We stopped at a great place called Gar Woolys food and fun in Davenport.
Here is Vicki and Elvis.
There was Biker's thing going on. Hundreds of bikers were traveling across the U.S. on Route 66. Vicki decided she needed to get herself a motorcycle.
She spotted a biker at Gar Woolys and wanted a pic taken with him.
He was from France. hehe
Two gals and a rusty gas pump. Appropriate, huh?
I was trying to get a pic of Gar Woolys and this guy walked out and started acting silly. Of course, that was just an invitation for Vicki to have her pic made with him. She's so funny!
Then we drove on to Stroud. We had planned to eat lunch at the Rock Cafe but got too hungry while in Chandler. Anyway, root beer floats here.

She could not resist another pic. Of course, she told them she just finished chemo and wanted them share her happiness. Look at the people behind her. I love people.

I am so glad she made it through the horrible chemo. Next week she begins her radiation treatment. She is one tough cookie!
