Here we go!

Well, can you believe it? It's 2019! Wow, time as really flown by. Last January I made up my mind to do my best to keep my sanity and try to have as much fun as possible. I have situations in life that I have no control of that affect me deeply...to the very heart. So mid-Spring I took a roadtrip with my sweet girl Allison, friend Vicki and her daughter Jessica to Memphis to the Southern Junkers Market.
I took my City Farmhouse Style book and had it signed by Kim Leggett, Yay! and got to meet the amazing Gale Brisa, creator of Vignette It. She was very sweet.  The girls and I had so much fun.

We walked down Beale Street, walked through The Peabody, we ate BBQ at The Rendezvous, visited Sun Studio, we ate at Gus's famous fried chicken and my favorite meal was at the Germantown Commissary Bar B Q!

Easter 2018
Let's see, we celebrated a rainy Easter day with church service then home with an Egg hunt in the house. It was pretty fun.
Carrot Cake. OMG!!
Looking for those prize eggs. Hmmm, where could they be?
Looks like Evie got one.
My daughter in law and granddaughter

Me with my grandmonsters. I love them to the moon and back.
Ok, Chasie is really not part lizard. His socks. LOL!

Still looking for those prize eggs?

                                     Summer 2018
full of swimming, blooms and birthday celebrations!

Nothing much prettier than a chicken and a sunflower.

Pink geraniums in an old mop bucket.

Here I am wearing my garden hat and pearls and enjoying my last few days in my 50's.

The biggest celebration in 2018 was my 60th Birthday!
I decided to celebrate my birthday by throwing myself a party with some of my favorite gal friends! We dressed fun, ate a scrummy Mexican dinner and went to Sahoma Lanes Bowling Alley. It was such a fun party. My Hunka was a real trooper and grilled chicken for the tacos.

Allison made my beautiful cake. It was a vanilla cake with buttercream frosting then fresh fruit and berries added. So good!

We had the big porch all decked out for the party. Lots of pretty zinnias. Pages from a vintage LOOK magazine were our placemats.  Ironstone plates. Love, love, love all things vintage.

My 60th birthday crown that I created. Why not?
The Queen has to have a crown.

Some of the food. It was so delicious!

My best gal friends. They all dressed up for a night of fun. And we sure had fun!

Lifelong friend Vicki. Mother of Jessica

These two. Friends since they were little girls.

The sweetest girl I know.
