Hyacinth Bulbs and Incubator Eggs

I bought these hyacinths two years ago. They were in bloom then they died . They sat on my front porch all last summer. I brought them in wondering if they were still good. They were. Look whats happening!

I have thought of incubating our own eggs. I have always gotten day old chicks from the feed store, but I think the process would be good for the kids to see. Do you ever have a broody hen sit on them? Love the blog!xo Caroline

We don't usually let a hen set on them. Too much fussing with the other hens wanting in the nest. Last time we hatched out 20 eggs we ended up with 13 roosters! I hope I have better luck this time.

Chase is gonna go nuts of the chicks when they hatch. I took the kids to Atwoods last week and they had chicks and baby ducks...he threw a ringtail fit when I had to leave...he was clinging to the side of thier container and about knocked it over!
