January 3, 2021

Well, here we are! Out with 2020 and hoping 2021 will be better. We are living in very very strange times indeed. So the Dems stole (cheated)on the election with false ballots. Millions of votes went to Biden. The poor man is in dementia and Kamala Harris is a total baffoon that got zero votes in the primaries. All things have been lies and deception. I am not going to say a lot because I am sick and tired of it all. Anyway, the Dems were caught and in a few days we will see if President Trump will serve another 4 years as our President. We can only hope and pray.

New Years Eve was pretty uneventful. I had my sister Debbie and niece Jaymi over for snacks a few games of Yahtzee. It was fun and they went home at 8. I stayed up alone to see the new year in. When you turn 60 you really feel the aloneness. Your grown kids do not want you around and will make excuses but truth is YOU ARE OLD. My hubby is inching towards 70. He is retired, does his own thing and I feel lost.

Feeling lost. I have lost interest in so many things. Every time I think of being creative my mind goes to What's the Use? No one cares what I do. No one cares what I say. All I have now is time to reflect on what could have been or what actually was decades ago. I think about the years of involvement the church and how I was just a rat on the wheel. I do and did love Jesus and will serve Him but not in the busy way I did years ago. I hope He still is pleased with me and I will some day hear Him say well done my good and faithful servant.

Tomorrow our baby girl will turn 30! Time has surely flown by! I remember like it was yesterday rushing to the hospital in a very bad ice storm. Ken carefully got me there but it was touch and go on those ice covered roads. Folks, it shut down most of Oklahoma. And to make things even worse we almost lost our beautiful little girl as the cord was wrapped around her neck two times. Dr Washburn had to cut the cords and one to the placenta bled freely. He had to reach in (basically like a person who noodles. Are you with me?) as I was bleeding uncontrollably. By this time Allison was born and fine. Me, well I lost a  lot of blood and was rushed into surgery. All and all we survived and tomorrow our ray of sunshine will be 30.

Now off to bake her a cake!
