Here is my little collection of turkeys and my weird cornucopia. My favorite turkey is the small paper mache' one second from the right. I really like the big ceramic one on the left too! I love all of you little turkeys!
Amanda found this wire tiered thing at an antique mall for only $15. I love the way she decorated it for her Fall centerpiece. This is her dining room. So pretty!
Fall is my all time favorite time of year! I love it when the trees begin to change in all those bold colors of yellow, orange, and red. I love it when the air starts to get cool and crisp and the wind begins to blow. I love to watch those same colorful leaves let go and fall to the ground. Then before you know it Thanksgiving is here. Fall decorating is so much fun to me. I start out in late September and display all of my little vintage ghost candles and old Halloween masks. This year I set out my antique typewriter and scrolled a printed version of The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe. It looked really cool but I forgot to take a picture! After Halloween was over I immediately put the spooky stuff up but left all the Fall garland out and added a few things. My favorite Thanksgiving decor is my small collection of turkeys. Some are old and some not so old. I am hoping that I can find more later. The odd looking cornucopia in the picture is one I found a few years ago at a thrift store. I fell in love with it because of its whimsical shape and gorgeous green color. This year my oldest daughter Amanda will be serving Thanksgiving in her home. She has become quite a good cook and she has a beautiful home. She really has a knack for decorating. Maybe I can post a few pictures of her home later. I am so thankful for my all of my family. I have four wonderful children, sweet son in law, and an absolutely adorable grandson! My husband of 29 years is a hard working man that has always taken care of me and the kids. I am thankful that my mother is still with us and for my two dear sisters. I have wonderful friends from California to Tennessee and in between and I so thankful for them. God has been so very good to me!
