Spring 2021 right around the corner

I haven't posted in a while. I will make mentioned of the horrible snow storm of February 2021. For a week we were snowed in. I did my best to take care of my mental health at that time. Reassuring myself that it would soon be over and sunshine would shine again...and it did. We stayed warm and never lost power. The only damage was a frozen busted outside spigot that hubby and his brother quickly stopped the leak and closed it off forever.

So here we are March 11 and just nine days Spring will begin. I am so ready. I have been poring over Pinterest and Youtube for ideas for this years flower garden. I would love to expand it even larger with more flower and rose varieties. Right now the ground is still cold and wet so I can't do much.

Life is so different in the retirement phase. It is quite lonely at times. I spend a lot of time (most of the time) at home and I miss my freedom of getting out and about and seeing a few of my friends. This stupid pandemic has sucked! I don't usually use that term but it has changed our way of life that we once enjoyed.  My kids are grown and busy and the grandsons would rather play online games than to come see us. I sure miss them. We rarely see the granddaughters except for Tiger. Tiger is our ray of sunshine. In less than two weeks we will be getting a new grandson! I am excited although we probably won't get to see him much.

I know this post has been a bit on the sad side I am just being honest. I am excited about Spring though. Enjoy my first blooms in 2021
